 Visa Requirements for International Students at the University of Florida

Any international students who want to reside in Florida and Study at the University of Florida need to obtain a student visa.

Here are the steps for obtaining a student visa: 

To apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa, schedule an appointment at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. 

You need to bring these documents:

1. Your I-20 form was issued by FIU.

2. A passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your appointment date.

3. Financial documents showing you can pay for your education (like bank statements or sponsor letters).

4. Proof that you paid the SEVIS I-901 fee.
