Grace: I believe the most significant benefit of community science is the large amount of data that can be collected. When thousands of people contribute notes and measurements, scientists can study patterns on a much larger scale. This would be impossible with a small team of researchers. Such as, birdwatchers across the country can provide valuable data on bird migration patterns. This helps scientists understand the impacts of climate change on wildlife.

Harry: While I agree that data collection is important, I think the greatest benefit of community science is public involvement. When people participate in scientific research, they become more aware of environmental issues. They are more likely to take action to protect the environment. Like, a community involved in checking local water quality may be more driven to reduce pollution and support cleaner waterways. This increased awareness and activism can lead to more effective conservation efforts overall.
